Chesterfield Express Plumbing is based in Chesterfield, MO, in St. Louis County, about 25 miles west of St. Louis. Our home zone is the city itself, and we also serve Ballwin, Wildwood, Town and Country and Creve Coeur. This page explains the ZIP codes, how far each town is, and how we decide whether an address is covered.
If your street is not named here, call the 24/7 line anyway. Coverage depends on the address and the day, not on a map line.
Chesterfield is the home zone
Chesterfield has two standard ZIP codes, 63005 and 63017. The city stretches from the Missouri River at its north edge through Chesterfield Valley, a low floodplain once called Gumbo Flats, up to the hills and subdivisions around Olive Boulevard and Route 141.
In 63005 you might call about a water heater that has quit or a basement sump pump that will not run. In 63017 the call might be a stopped drain or a hidden leak. Both ZIPs get the same 24/7 line and the same clear price before work starts. See the services page for the full list of what we handle.
The four nearby towns we serve
Each town has its own page with local detail. Distances below are estimates measured from Chesterfield and are labeled about.
Ballwin
About 6 miles south, with ZIP codes 63021 and 63011 and Manchester Road running through the middle. Ballwin has been a city since 1950, so its homes include older subdivisions and newer ones. See the Ballwin page.
Wildwood
About 8 miles southwest and very large, at about 67 square miles. Whether an address is on public sewer or a private septic system varies by property, so we ask which applies. Details sit on the Wildwood page.
Town and Country
About 5 miles east along Route 141, with ZIP codes 63017 and 63131. Larger houses generally have more fixtures and longer pipe runs. See the Town and Country page.
Creve Coeur
About 9 miles northeast, with ZIP codes 63141 and 63146. Interstate 270 and US 40 bring it within reach. Read the Creve Coeur page for the local detail.
Towns, ZIP codes and rough distances at a glance
Distances are estimates from Chesterfield, so treat each as about that far. ZIP codes are the ones this site lists for each town.
| Town | ZIP codes | Direction from Chesterfield | Distance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chesterfield | 63005, 63017 | Home zone | Not applicable |
| Ballwin | 63021, 63011 | South | About 6 miles |
| Wildwood | 63040, 63038, 63005 | Southwest | About 8 miles |
| Town and Country | 63017, 63131 | East | About 5 miles |
| Creve Coeur | 63141, 63146 | Northeast | About 9 miles |
Wildwood is large, so a Wildwood address can be farther or closer than the figure shown. We confirm by street.
Not sure your street is covered?
Coverage is confirmed by address, so just ask when you call.
ZIP codes, including the P.O. box one
The Chesterfield ZIP codes are 63005 and 63017. A third, 63006, is a P.O. box ZIP, so it does not point to a street. If your mail uses 63006, tell us your street address and we will confirm coverage.
The same logic applies elsewhere. Wildwood addresses can carry 63040, 63038 or 63005, because 63005 is a Chesterfield ZIP that includes Wildwood as an alias. A ZIP code only tells us roughly where you are. The street tells us whether we can reach you today.
How coverage is decided
We decide coverage by street address, not by ZIP code. When you call, we confirm the address, check the schedule for that part of the county, and tell you if the earliest visit is today.
Three things matter. First, the distance from where the plumber is working. Second, the type of job, because a flooded basement outranks a dripping faucet. Third, the hour, since a late-night call gets answered the same way as a daytime one but the open slots are different.
Driving geography in plain terms
Chesterfield sits on Interstate 64, also called US 40, which runs east toward Creve Coeur and the city. Olive Boulevard, Route 340, crosses Chesterfield and was an early growth corridor farther east in Creve Coeur. Route 141 runs along the east side toward Town and Country.
Ballwin lies south along Manchester Road, and Wildwood lies farther southwest. Drive times change with the hour and with traffic, so we give you an honest estimate on the call. We do not promise an arrival time before the plumber is dispatched.
Neighbors we also hear from
Clarkson Valley, Ellisville, Des Peres, Frontenac and Maryland Heights are places we also hear from. They are also within reach, call to confirm. Give the street address and we will say yes or no right away.
Ellisville neighbors Ballwin and Wildwood, so the Ballwin and Wildwood pages are the closest match. Des Peres and Frontenac are close neighbors of Town and Country, and Maryland Heights lies north of Creve Coeur. You can also see the contact page for what to have ready.
Homes, businesses and the calls in between
Calls come from houses and from businesses along the commercial corridors. Retail and office buildings have long drain runs, many fixtures and tight schedules, so a business caller should give the suite number and a contact who can approve work. Our page on commercial plumbing explains what helps.
Houses on the edge of our area need the same details as any other: the street address, the problem, and the main valve location. If the problem is a sewer backup, say so first. A sewer line cleaning visit is a different trip from a faucet repair, and the dispatcher plans the day around it.
If you are comparing plumbers across several towns, ask each one whether they cover your street and whether the price is stated before work begins. Those two answers tell you more than any map.
